Like Father, Like Son

It's been a while since you got to see a very good post. The last one was cute but brief, and as much as I'm sure you all love to hear about our pet plant, Penelope, I bet most of you would rather hear about us!

Church callings, school, teaching, and singing are going well. Last week was super packed and busy for both of us (culminating in a neuro test for Nick this morning), but we made it through and still managed to have some family fun.

Last Sunday was a sweater-vest day for both Brinton and his daddy. Brinton ended up having a blowout in his outfit during church while sitting in Nick's lap. The resulting mess enhanced their matching ensemble...

Brinton has a very contagious laugh and a huge smile. After weeks of enjoying it ourselves, we finally caught the smile on camera to share with all of you.

We went to the BYU-Air Force game last Saturday. BYU did not do so well, but it was fun to be at the game with so many friends. Nick enjoyed being there, but also used the time to study for his test since he's not the world's biggest sports fan. You can see that Brinton fell asleep; he must share his father's indifference for athletics. :-)

Brinton after the game. We had to document the fabulous beanie given to him by Elli Thurston before we officially declared it "too small." You can see it was practically there already. He is getting so big.
